Practical Feeding Tips
- Offer CGD and live insects in the early evening when your Sarasinorum gecko is naturally becoming active
- Remove and replace uneaten CGD after 24–48 hours to prevent spoilage
- Use a magnetic feeding ledge at height — Sarasinorum geckos are active climbers and prefer to feed off the ground
- Sarasinorum geckos are typically keen hunters — they will actively pursue and take live prey
- Track appetite week to week — a sustained drop can indicate stress, shedding, illness or an enclosure issue
- Always provide fresh water in a shallow dish, changed every 1–2 days
Seasonal Appetite Changes
Sarasinorum geckos may eat slightly less during cooler winter months. This is normal providing body condition remains good. Weigh your gecko monthly — a healthy adult should feel solid with no visible ribs or hip bones. Consult a reptile vet if weight loss is significant or appetite loss persists beyond 2–3 weeks.
