Why use an elevated feeding ledge?
Arboreal geckos naturally feed at height — in the wild they encounter fruit and invertebrates on branches and leaves, not on the ground. Elevating food replicates this behaviour, encourages natural activity, and keeps the diet cleaner by reducing contact with substrate, waste, and moisture. It also makes it easier to monitor how much your gecko is eating each night.
Why two cups?
Two cups let you serve food and water at the same station, offer two different diet rotations at once, or dedicate one cup permanently to a calcium supplement. For keepers rotating between Pangea, Repashy, and Gecko Nutrition, having two cups means you can serve a fresh mix of each on alternating nights without needing multiple separate ledges.
Magnetic Dual vs Magnetic Large Dual — which should I choose?
The standard Magnetic Dual Feeding Ledge (10 x 6cm) is the more compact option, well suited to juvenile and adult crested geckos in standard-sized enclosures. The Magnetic Large Dual Feeding Ledge (18 x 7.5cm) provides a more spacious platform better suited to larger adult geckos or enclosures where you want a more prominent feeding station. Both hold two removable cups and use the same magnetic mounting system.
Why choose magnetic over suction cup?
Magnetic mounting provides a more reliable hold in humid vivariums where condensation can cause suction cups to slip. The enclosed magnets grip through the glass panel and stay secure even in high-humidity bioactive setups, with rubber stoppers adding extra stability and glass protection.
