Pangea Gecko Diet: Growth & Breeding Formula™ was designed to be a healthy array of ingredients that provides essential nutrients for breeding adults but is also excellent for geckos of all life stages. Crested geckos still benefit from once or twice-a-week cricket feeding. Other species, such as the New Caledonian giant gecko, gargoyle geckos, and chameleon geckos (Eurydactylodes spp.), also excel on this formula. Additionally, Growth & Breeding Formula™ has been revolutionary for species that require higher levels of calcium and insects such as the mossy prehensile-tailed gecko (Mniarogekko chahoua). The main source of fat and protein in Growth & Breeding Formula™ is crickets and black soldier fly larvae.
DIRECTIONS
Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts water and adjust to achieve desired consistency. Prepared mix is good for up to 7 days if refrigerated. Open dry mix is good for 6 months at room temperature or 1 year if refrigerated. Unopened products are best before 24 months (see expiration date). Occasional additional insect feedings are recommended.

Which geckos is it suitable for?
Growth & Breeding Formula is suitable for all frugivorous gecko species, and is particularly beneficial for those with higher protein, fat, and calcium demands:
- Crested Geckos — ideal for juveniles growing out, breeding females, and underweight geckos needing to gain condition
- Gargoyle Geckos — excels as a breeding season staple for this species
- Chahoua Geckos — especially beneficial; this formula has been described as revolutionary for chahoua due to their higher calcium and insect requirements
- Leachianus Geckos — well suited to New Caledonian Giant Geckos, particularly during breeding season
- Eurydactylodes Geckos — appropriate for frugivorous Eurydactylodes species
- Sarasin's Geckos — a strong option for Correlophus sarasinorum, particularly for growing juveniles
It is a complete MRP (Meal Replacement Powder) suitable for all life stages, though it is most impactful during growth phases and breeding seasons.
What does it taste like?
A rich, protein-forward flavour from real crickets and black soldier fly larvae, balanced with fruit. It generates an excellent feeding response and is readily accepted even by geckos that can be selective about their diet.
How often should you feed it?
- Juveniles & breeding adults: daily, or alternate with live food
- Maintenance adults: 3–5 times per week
- Always remove uneaten food after 24–48 hours
Growth & Breeding vs standard Insects formula — what's the difference?
Growth & Breeding Formula has a higher fat content and maximum calcium levels, making it specifically optimised for breeding females and fast-growing juveniles. The standard Insects formula is a great everyday diet, while Growth & Breeding is better suited as a targeted performance diet during the breeding season or for geckos needing to gain weight.
Can you alternate it with other Pangea diets?
Yes — many keepers use Growth & Breeding Formula as a seasonal or rotational diet alongside everyday formulas like Watermelon or Apricot. It can also be fed exclusively to breeding adults and growing juveniles where maximum nutrition is the priority.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
- Gecko food cannot be returned if opened.
- Items must be returned unused and in original condition unless faulty or defective.
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.

Lost Packages
- Please allow 14 working days before contacting us about a missing parcel.
- Orders confirmed as lost in the postal system will be refunded after 20 working days.
Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, you must report it within 12 hours of delivery.
Please provide clear photographs, including images of the item and the Royal Mail damage bag (if the parcel was split or opened). This allows us to submit a claim.
International Orders
We only ship within the UK. Any orders placed from outside the UK will incur a £2 fee to cover refund processing costs.
