The Pangea Gecko Diet with Papaya™ is a similar product to our popular Watermelon formula nutritionally speaking but has a higher fat content and a different flavor profile. This formula is a favorite among our crested geckos and is readily devoured. The Papaya diet can be alternated with any of the Pangea Complete Gecko Diets or fed exclusively.

The Pangea Gecko Diet with Papaya™ uses a combination of fruits that your geckos will not be able to resist. This diet was one of our first complete diets and was based on the popular Original Pangea Fruit Mix Treat™. It has been formulated using only the highest quality ingredients, including all-natural USA-produced dried fruits, whey protein isolate, algaes, and more. Our ingredients are selected to contain very low levels of anti-nutrients like oxalic acid and phytates. We do not use any seeds, nuts, seed meal, cereal grains, or high oxalate fruits or vegetables in our product. We developed this product here at Pangea and hired a Ph.D. in animal nutrition to make sure we got it right.
DIRECTIONS
Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts water and adjust to achieve desired consistency. Prepared mix is good for up to 7 days if refrigerated. Open dry mix is good for 6 months at room temperature or 1 year if refrigerated. Unopened products are best before 24 months (see expiration). Occasional insect feedings are recommended but are optional.

Which geckos is it suitable for?
Pangea Papaya is suitable for all frugivorous gecko species, including:
- Crested Geckos — one of the most popular MRP diets for cresties of all ages
- Gargoyle Geckos — readily accepted and nutritionally complete for this species
- Chahoua Geckos — a great staple or rotation diet for this species
- Leachianus Geckos — suitable for New Caledonian Giant Geckos as part of a varied diet
- Eurydactylodes Geckos — appropriate for frugivorous Eurydactylodes species
- Sarasin's Geckos — a good MRP option for Correlophus sarasinorum
It is a complete MRP (Meal Replacement Powder) suitable for all life stages across these species.
What does it taste like?
Rich banana and papaya — one of the most palatable flavours in the Pangea range. Most geckos take to it immediately, making it a great choice for fussy feeders or new hatchlings getting started on MRP.
How often should you feed it?
- Juveniles & breeding adults: daily, or alternate with live food
- Maintenance adults: 3–5 times per week
- Always remove uneaten food after 24–48 hours
Papaya vs Watermelon — what's the difference?
Both are nutritionally similar complete diets, but Papaya has a slightly higher fat content and a stronger fruit flavour. Watermelon tends to be lighter and more refreshing. Many keepers rotate both to add variety.
Can you alternate it with other Pangea diets?
Yes — Pangea Papaya can be rotated freely with any other Pangea Complete Gecko Diet (Fig & Insects, Watermelon, Banana & Papaya with Insects, etc.). Rotating flavours is recommended to encourage a varied diet and prevent food boredom.
What size should I buy?
- 2oz — ideal for trying a new flavour or single-gecko households
- 8oz — great for 2–4 geckos or regular feeders
- 16oz — best value for breeders or multi-gecko setups

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
- Gecko food cannot be returned if opened.
- Items must be returned unused and in original condition unless faulty or defective.
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- The Customer is responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty.

Lost Packages
- Please allow 14 working days before contacting us about a missing parcel.
- Orders confirmed as lost in the postal system will be refunded after 20 working days.
Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, you must report it within 12 hours of delivery.
Please provide clear photographs, including images of the item and the Royal Mail damage bag (if the parcel was split or opened). This allows us to submit a claim.

We only ship within the UK. Any orders placed from outside the UK will incur a £2 fee to cover refund processing costs.
