Why use an elevated feeding ledge?
Arboreal geckos naturally feed at height — in the wild, crested geckos and gargoyle geckos feed from fruit and invertebrates found on branches and leaves, not from the ground. Placing food on the enclosure floor puts it at risk of contamination from substrate, waste, and moisture. An elevated feeding ledge replicates natural feeding behaviour, keeps food cleaner for longer, and encourages your gecko to be active and move around the enclosure to reach it.
Why two cups?
Two cups give you the flexibility to offer food and water at the same station, or to serve two different diet options simultaneously — useful for keepers running a rotation between brands or offering a complete diet alongside a fruit supplement. It also allows you to dedicate one cup to a calcium supplement at all times without sacrificing a separate feeding station.
Why choose magnetic over suction cup?
Magnetic mounting provides a more reliable, long-term hold than suction cups in humid vivariums. Condensation inside a live vivarium or bioactive setup can cause suction cups to lose grip and drop, potentially injuring your gecko or causing mess. The magnetic system grips through the glass panel and stays secure even in high-humidity enclosures.
